How We Booked Eurostar from London to Paris with Credit Card Points (Step-by-Step Guide)
You can travel from London to Paris without buying expensive train tickets.
On our recent family trip to Europe, we booked four one-way Eurostar tickets from London to Paris using Capital One miles instead of paying cash.
Using travel points saved us hundreds of dollarsโmoney we were able to spend on pastries, museums, cafรฉs, and exploring Paris together instead.

Why We Chose Eurostar Instead of Flying

It’s easier traveling from city center to city center. You can use public transportation to get there and you don’t have to worry about long car rides.
When there is no airport, it’s just easier (especially with kids).
Taking the train also saved us time, we didn’t have to check in as far in advance and we just had to get to central London vs the airports which are pretty far outside the city.
We had great scenery!
Another reason we chose Eurostar was that it drops you right in the heart of Paris. Instead of landing at an airport outside the city and arranging transportation, we walked out of the station and started exploring.
Traveling by train also felt like part of the vacation. Watching the English countryside give way to northern France made the journey feel much more relaxing than flying.
Exactly How We Booked
Here’s how we did it:
- Step 1: Create free accounts for All-Accor and Club Eurostar
- Step 2: Transfer Capital One points to All – ACCOR.
- We already had Capital One miles from everyday spending and transferred them to our ALL Accor account.
- Step 3: Transfer All-ACCOR points to Eurostar
- This transfer wasn’t instant for usโit took about a week, so don’t wait until the last minute to book.
- Step 4: Book your travel with reward points!

How Many Points We Used
Cash prices for Eurostar can vary depending on the season, but using points meant we didn’t have to worry about ticket prices during our summer travel dates.
We booked four one way Eurostar tickets from London to Paris for only 16,000 Capital one points, no fees.
We used Capital One miles because they transfer to ALL Accor, making this redemption possible. We’ve also used the same card for airport lounge access and other trips, so it’s become one of the travel cards we use most often.
If you’re interested in the same card we use, you can learn more here.
Was It Worth Using Points?
Absolutely. We’d book Eurostar with points again without hesitation.
The transfer took about a week, so you need to plan ahead, but saving hundreds of dollars on train tickets meant we could spend more on museums, cafรฉs, and experiences once we arrived in Paris.
I’d rather use points for transportation and hotels than for restaurants or experiences because those are the things our family remembers most.
What We Used Our Savings For
Because we saved money getting to Paris, we had more room in our budget for experiences like:
๐ฅ Paris food tour
๐ข Seine River cruise
๐ผ Eiffel Tower summit
๐ผ๏ธ Louvre Museum tickets
๐ฐ Versailles day trip
Saving money on transportation meant we could spend more money on food, museums, and experiences around Paris.

Final Thoughts
Booking Eurostar with points wasn’t about traveling for freeโit was about making our family travel budget go further. Covering transportation with points meant we could spend more on the things we’ll actually remember: wandering Parisian streets, trying incredible food, and making memories together.
That’s exactly why I love using travel rewards.
